feature/freemium-v1 development branch. A previously distributed App Store or TestFlight build may use a different parent-report method. MilanMerch will reconcile this notice with the actual release before using it for App Store submission.Who we are
MilanMerch, LLC develops Professor Beau Vocabulary Builder, a vocabulary study application designed for students with parent or guardian oversight. For privacy requests, email [email protected].
Information used by the app
Parents or users may enter student names, selected grades, family display names, parent email addresses, and custom vocabulary words. The app also records study activities, lesson results, spelling and definition attempts, and progress statistics. This information is used to provide student profiles, lessons, and progress reports on the device.
Local storage and online accounts
In the reviewed local-storage version, student profiles, custom vocabulary, grades, progress and lesson history are saved on the device. Student online accounts and app-specific cloud synchronization are not required or enabled. Apple device backup settings may separately affect backup copies of app data.
Parent access and subscriptions
Parent-only settings are protected by a Parent PIN. PIN information is maintained using iOS secure storage. Optional Premium subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Apple processes payments; MilanMerch does not receive payment-card details through the app. The app checks Apple purchase entitlements to enable features.
Parent reports and sharing
Lesson reports can contain the words studied, correctness results, words needing review, and time spent. Parent email addresses may be stored on the device. The automated report-delivery service included as unfinished backend source code is disabled in the reviewed development version, and that feature does not upload lessons to MilanMerch's servers in this version. If an earlier or later release offers sharing through Apple's Mail interface or other delivery, information shared at the parent's direction will be processed by the chosen email provider and recipients. Any future automatic reporting service will require a revised policy identifying its processors and retention practices before activation.
Advertising, tracking, and third-party analytics
The reviewed development version does not contain advertising, behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. The proposed online dictionary integration is disabled. Apple may process App Store purchases and device-service information according to Apple's policies.
Children's privacy
The app is intended for educational use with adult oversight. Children do not need online accounts for the reviewed version. Parents should avoid using full legal names or sensitive personal information in student names or custom vocabulary. A Parent PIN or subscription purchase is not, by itself, consent for future online collection of children's personal information.
Your choices and deletion
Parents can manage student information, lesson history and parent email settings using the available controls. Removing the application removes its locally stored data, subject to device backups; some Keychain entries such as the Parent PIN may persist after reinstalling. App Store subscription cancellation and billing are managed by Apple. Email reports previously sent by a user or an email service cannot be recalled by deleting local data.
Policy changes
This notice will be updated when the released application materially changes its collection, reporting, storage, or third-party services. For questions or privacy requests contact [email protected].
